The 2nd Annual Alumni Game was a success. Former coach Charles Tarpley put up another win with the Wildcats joined by former Cats, including current major leaguer Buck Coats.

Valdosta Wildcat Alumni, Buck Coats was on hand to throw out the ceremonial first pitch at Diamond Day 2006. Buck has been invited to the 2006 Major League Spring Training Camp of the Chicago Cubs. Since the end of last season, he has been promoted to the Chicago Cubs AAA team, the Iowa Cubs. Thanks Buck for doing us proud! We are cheering for you!
